What is hilarious to me is that it is not a major headline, instead a small article in between other "bigger" articles. All taps in Bangalore will go dry because the main water supplier is shutting down all pumps to install power connectors, I don't quite understand why it couldn't have been better planned and done in different smaller stages rather than the way they are going about it. This is India so instead of the now planned 48 hour shutdown I am almost certain that it could go longer.
More on this later when and if I get a better understanding of what is going on. Till then......be grateful for the simple things, like running water.......a friend of mine put it into perspective when she said, "once you experience this then you begin to realize "third world" and how fortunate we are to open a tap and not walk for miles to queue for water"....Amen
